This position supports our Calibration Solutions business unit. Our Calibration Solutions portfolio uses the principles of advanced metrology to enable customers to measure and calibrate critical parameters in applications such as Environmental and Process Monitoring, Dialysis, Gas Flow, Air Quality, and Torque Testing. Job Summary The Manager, Production Manufacturing will lead and manage all aspects of the production process in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing operations, team leadership, and continuous improvement methodologies to ensure the production of high-quality products within established timelines and budget constraints. Drive operational excellence and efficiency, collaborate cross-functionally, and contribute to strategic initiatives for growth and process optimization. Duties/Responsibilities Production Management: * Ensure customer focus is at the core of all decisions, processes, metrics, etc * Oversee day-to-day production operations to ensure products are manufactured on time, at quality, and within budget. * Manage production schedules, workflows, and resources to optimize production efficiency. * Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality protocols, and environmental regulations in all manufacturing processes. * Responsible for product through all processes start to finish, is the value stream owner of responsible products. * Assess Takt and adjust production playbooks as needed * Planning and assigning work to build and deliver on time, within budget, while keeping stocking levels low Team Leadership and Development: * Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors, operators, and other manufacturing personnel (12-20 employees). * Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. * Lead and coach lean tools: Ishikawa, A3, DM, 5S, etc * Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and facilitate ongoing training and development for team members. Process Improvement: * Continuously works to reduce manufacturing lead times to reduce stocking levels * Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall quality. * Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process optimization, and efficiency gains through data-driven decision-making. * Implement best practices in production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Cross-Functional Collaboration: * Work closely with other departments such as Quality Assurance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and R&D to align production goals with company objectives. * Proactively looking ahead to understand, resolve, and escalate if needed the impact of material, quality, personal and capacity needs. * Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure the availability of raw materials and components needed for production. Quality Control and Compliance: * Ensure that all production processes comply with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. * Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production quality, efficiency, and safety, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Reporting and Analysis: * Prepare and present regular production reports, performance metrics, and improvement plans to senior management. * Analyze production data to identify trends, forecast future production needs, and make recommendations for process improvements. Budget and Resource Management: * Manage production budgets, including labor, materials, and overhead costs. * Optimize resource allocation to maximize production capacity and minimize operational costs. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): * Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing HSE policies and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. * Conduct regular safety audits, training, and ensure safety standards are maintained. Experience/Education * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field. * Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment, with at least 2 - 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Knowledge and Skillsets Required * Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce. * Understanding and demonstrated experience in manufacturing principles * Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with all levels of staff and management. * Proficiency in production management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and MS Office. * In-depth knowledge of quality control, safety standards, and compliance regulations (ISO 13485 & ISO 17025) Physical Demands * Standing or walking: Extended periods standing or walking throughout the warehouse. * Using computers: Typing and using the computer. * Manual dexterity: Handling various operating equipment. * Bending and reaching: Frequently reaching overhead, bending, picking up or moving items. * Lifting: Occasionally lifting and carrying 25 to 75 pounds. Environmental Conditions * Workspace: Work environment temperature may vary depending on warehouse. * Noise Levels: Noisy environments due to machinery and equipment. * Dust and Dire: Exposure to dust, dirt, and airborne particles. * Safety: Potential exposure to hazardous materials or unsafe conditions.
