Overview:

Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for an IT Support Engineer in Carrollton, TX. This is a 1st shift 8am-5pm onsite opportunity. The opportunity is based on a direct hire basis offering excellent benefits.

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This mid-level role is ideal for a well-rounded IT professional with a strong background in infrastructure, networking, and Microsoft technologies. You will play a key role in supporting end users across various platforms and devices while helping maintain and optimize the organization’s IT environment. This position requires both independent work and team collaboration in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices (iOS and Android), and end-user applications.
  • Perform account management tasks such as password resets and user provisioning via Active Directory.
  • Manage and support Microsoft 365 desktop and cloud applications.
  • Troubleshoot networking and connectivity issues in coordination with infrastructure teams.
  • Utilize enterprise MDM tools (e.g., Jamf) to support and secure end-user devices.
  • Provide on-site and remote support to users with varying technical skill levels.
  • Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of end-user hardware and software.
  • Support specialized applications such as Autodesk, Bluebeam, or other construction-related tools.
  • Document solutions and contribute to the IT knowledge base.
  • Participate in IT-related projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Travel occasionally to remote office locations to provide hands-on support.
  • Assist with data center operations including racking, patching, and equipment handling as required.

Requirements:

  • 5–8 years of experience in a similar IT support or end-user computing role.
  • Strong working knowledge of:

    • Active Directory
    • Networking fundamentals
    • Microsoft 365 (cloud and desktop apps)
    • Desktop imaging and deployment
    • Mobile platforms (iOS and Android)


  • Experience with MDM platforms such as Jamf or equivalent.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and a strong customer service mindset.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software such as Autodesk or Bluebeam.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Associate degree or technical certification in an IT-related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with:

    • Group Policy management
    • Exchange 2016 and/or Exchange Online (hybrid environments)
    • Microsoft Intune and/or SCCM
    • Hands-on data center tasks such as power and cabling
