Inova Fairfax Children's Multispecialty Developmental Pediatrics clinic is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Psychologist/ Neuropsychologist to join the team to complete developmental and neuropsychological evaluations. The psychologist administers, with support of psychometrist, assessment measures for children ages 18 months to 21 years old, including intellectual, educational, personality, emotional/behavioral, and neuropsychological measures to assess for neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Intellectual Disabilities, ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders). Evaluations are also conducted for children with complex medical and genetic syndromes (e.g., Down syndrome, Turners syndrome, Cerebral palsy). Writes comprehensive psychological evaluations, conducts interactive feedback with caregivers, and providers recommendations for supports in community and home setting. Provides supervision for psychometrists, training for medical residents, and has opportunities for supervision of advanced clinical psychology doctoral students in assessment. Opportunity to develop one clinic a week for short term treatment (individual, parent training or group therapy) around area of interest relevant to the developmental pediatrics clinic. Consults on multidisciplinary developmental pediatrics team and with providers across Inova on developmental disorders. This role will be full-time Monday - Friday, Day shift 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

Psychologist Neuropsychologist Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct diagnostic developmental and neuropsychological evaluations for patients ages 18 months to 21 years old. Diagnose and provide psychoeducation to patients and caregivers. Write evaluations, conduct interactive feedback with caregivers, and provide recommendations for interventions, accommodations, and advocacy in community and home setting.
• Administer assessment measures for children ages 18 months to 21 years old, including developmental (e.g., Bayley-2, Bracken), intellectual (e.g. WISC-V, DAS-II, SB-5, CTONI-2), educational (e.g., WIAT-4, CTOPP), neuropsychological measures (e.g, DKEFS, TOVA, WRAML, NEPSY), and autism ( e.g, ADOS-2, CARS-2, TELE ASD PEDS) to assess for neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Intellectual Disabilities, ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders).
• Contribute to program educational efforts on neurodiversity and developmental disorders across Inova pediatric ambulatory service line. Provide supervision for psychometrists, training for medical residents.
• Provide consultation, educational materials and community resource information to patients and families.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Doctorate Psychology
• Certification: Basic Life Support - Upon Start
• Licensure: Clinical Psychologist - Upon start.
• Experience: 1 year of clinical experience in assessment/ treatment of children and adolescence with developmental disorders

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two years postdoctoral experience in assessment/ treatment of children and adolescence with developmental disorders.
• One year experience in assessment and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Bilingual preferred
