Material Planning Specialist

The Insulation Finished Goods Planner drives improvement in service KPI's through the identification, creation, alignment of valuable services within the material planning. The role is responsible to look across material planning for impactful continuous improvement opportunities, as an enabler for generating enterprise value. This role is critical to delivering supply chain productivity initiatives and service improvement via the application of advanced analytics and project management principles.

This role will backup and assist other Insulation Material Planners, including but not limited to working directly with plant schedulers on production schedules, entering STOs (Stock Transport Orders), entering and adjusting plant specific SKU level MRP settings; perform a variety of analyses and report generation relating to the management of insulation materials including slow moving and obsolete inventory (SMOI), blocked stock, inventory quality management (IQM), schedule attainment, and NATI weekly sales, production and inventory updates.

• Live the Safety stand and adhere to all safety responsibilities.
• Inventory Management - optimize inventories to meet OC financial goals and to meet customer demand.
• Manufacturing - maintain close alignment with production resources and ensure smooth manufacturing planning and control through finish goods planning and procurement of packaging & direct materials.
• Responsible for coordinating activities and communications across the customer supply chain (materials management, logistics, customer solutions, data)
• Provide effective and timely information, thoughtful business insights/analytics and business performance evaluations to ensure the business meets their operations plan
• Creates and maintains master data in SAP including material master, and other key data
• Participate in or lead business and kaizen teams for various product roll outs and/or productivity projects.
• The material planner is a strong team player, excellent communicator and provides a positive impact to our fun, dynamic and successful team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-5 years' experience in a sourcing, procurement, supply chain, customer service, or materials management role preferred and/or APICS certification.
