Vitro Architectural Glass is a leading manufacturer of glass products, committed to innovation, sustainability, and excellence. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager, Maintenance to join our team and oversee the maintenance department.

Job Description:
The Manager, Maintenance will assist in planning and organizing the maintenance department and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all machinery and equipment. This role involves overseeing daily maintenance activities, planning large downtimes, and providing guidance on prioritization for critical repairs and manning issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily maintenance and storeroom activities.
• Work closely with Maintenance Supervisor and GMM Leads to drive root cause analysis and plan large downtimes.
• Drive department vision and make strategic organizational changes.
• Conduct interviews for new hires and internal promotions.
• Develop new position justifications and job descriptions.
• Oversee new employee orientation and three-year apprenticeship program.
• Recommend and approve employee training opportunities.
• Handle personnel issues in conjunction with Supervisors.
• Ensure safety training, MIP's, and Near Misses are completed.
• Review LOTO procedures and High Risk jobs; update procedures as necessary.
• Set annual goals and conduct quarterly reviews with direct reports.
• Manage and enforce department policies and procedures.
• Review project proposals and award contracts to winning bidders.
• Approve equipment and software upgrades.
• Manage contracts of all external mechanical, electrical, and maintenance contractors.
• Maintain relationships with maintenance vendors and manage vendor price negotiations.
• Approve renewal of all facility maintenance contracts.
• Champion storeroom management and drive inventory reduction.
• Oversee plant utilities and substations, and review water treatment reports.
• Implement and oversee Arc Flash program changes.
• Coordinate Cold Repair planning and interface with GTC projects.

Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in a manufacturing capacity.
• Proven leadership and administrative ability.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage long-term projects and process improvements.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to dust, moving vehicles, heavy equipment, chemicals, high noise, and extreme temperatures.
• Ability to safely operate vehicles and machinery, and work in confined spaces.
• Professional office environment with standard office equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
• Occasionally lift and carry items under 20 pounds.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, and handle as needed.
• Maintain awareness of environmental hazards and respond to emergency situations.
