The SH&E Coordinator supports the site Safety, Health, and Environmental function by promoting effective SH&E practices. A primary goal is to regularly assist site operations and engage with associates on the shop floor. Promotes and contributes to a site culture where SH&E is engrained as a core value with all employees. Assists SH&E program implementation and daily follow-up/coaching/training other employees when necessary. Ensures ongoing excellence with SH&E compliance and other core functional areas including but not limited to Quality Assurance, Operations, and Training.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Demonstrate thorough knowledge of expected SH&E practices and behaviors.

* Coordinate/lead site Emergency Response Team (ERT) and conducts training

* Conduct/coordinate audiometric and respiratory fit testing for employees

* Manage AEDs, X-Ray dosimeters, and other equipment

* Act as safety liaison during operational reviews - DOR's, WOR's, MOR's, and more.

* Implement and participate in company SH&E policies, processes and procedures including but not limited to:

    1. Job Hazard Evaluations, Internal Inspections and Audits, Incident Investigations
    2. Support Behavior Based Safety Program (BBSO) initiatives
    3. Machine Safeguarding, Control of Hazardous Energy (LOTO)
    4. Personal Protective Equipment
    5. Emergency procedures and equipment
    6. Take an active role in site waste management audits and practices
    7. Internal and external audits
    8. Chemical inventory and management
    9. PTW Audits and validation
    10. Workers Compensation claims and incident management

* Troubleshoot at risk conditions using NCE problem solving tools such as 5 Why, Safety Traffic Light, and other GSTD tools.

* Provide key support to all SH&E systems as directed.

* Demonstrate knowledge of environmental best practices.

* Support site ISO 14001/45001 certification, document control process, and record maintenance.

* Troubleshoot various environmental conditions and take appropriate levels of corrective action.

* Provide key support with all Environmental Management System policies and procedures including but not all inclusive:

    1. SPCC - Spill Prevention Control Countermeasures
    2. Spill response and clean up support
    3. Waste management
    4. Waste water sampling
    5. Waste, water, and energy reduction projects

* Provide SH&E expertise at local committee operational reviews.

* Assist in root cause investigations of SH&E related incidents.

* Provide routine coaching and training to site personnel.

* Complete all required documentation to support OSHA and EPA compliance and injury prevention activities

* Use and implement digital solutions

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

High School Diploma

EXPERIENCE:

2 + years' experience in manufacturing. General knowledge of plant operations including Maintenance, Sanitation, Warehouse, Packaging, and Production. Must have a solid track record for SH&E, having served as a SH&E representative or committee member is considered helpful.

* Excellent interpersonal interactions.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills are required along with the ability able to communicate with audiences that have a broad range of backgrounds and understanding.

* Training & presentation skills.

* Ability to organize and prioritize.

* Computer skills (Microsoft Office/Windows based)

* Reading and comprehension skills/legal & regulatory interpretation

* Understand the safe operation and environmental impacts of all equipment and processes.

* Ability to actively participate in and contribute to meetings.

* Always maintain a professional attitude.

* Maintains effective working relationships within and outside the department.

* Communicate effectively with various support groups, supervisors and team members
