Position Summary: As the Training Specialist you will be responsible for leading the assessment of training needs, design and develop engaging training programs, and oversee their deployment, delivery, and evaluation for all distribution operations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing our team's skills and knowledge, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. Flexibility in scheduling will be necessary to support training efforts for first, second, and weekend operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business leads to understand current systems and processes and how they affect/impact the people and products to determine training gaps.
- Create a Skills Matrix for the site to reflect core knowledge and skills required by level and function.
- Based on identified gaps and consistent with business objectives, create a training and development strategy for the site (includes deployment plan).
- Work with Subject Matter Experts to design and develop training interventions to address identified gaps.
- Establish a training and development strategy - to address training needs of all levels (both role and skills).
- Design and embed a variety of blended learning methods in all training programs, to be implemented before, during and after the training event, that will promote application of new learning back on the job.
- Establish a training activities monitoring and evaluation system (includes tracking and reporting system)
- Coach Functional Subject Matter Experts/Local Trainers in the application of sound Instructional Design and Adult Learning theory to enable them to participate in the process of creating and delivering effective training.
- Coordinate with Organizational Development and Training Team to ensure standardization of core content, training processes and delivery methodologies.
- Maintaining organized recordkeeping for documents and training in an audit-ready environment
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience & Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Certification such as ASTD (American Society for Training and Development) preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of training experience
- Demonstrable evidence of ability to partner with business functions to develop training solutions that provide measurable business impact.
- Sound understanding of Adult Learning Paradigms and be able to convey the rationale for specific training interventions to Functional Subject Matter Experts.
- Proficiency with the following software/technologies preferred: MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Articulate, Articulate Storyline and Webex.
- Communications Skills are both verbal and written
- Strong organizational and time management
- Ability to design, develop, facilitate, and evaluate training programs
- Experience developing functional training solutions in areas such as Manufacturing, Packaging and/or Supply Chain
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Maintain effectiveness during major changes in work tasks or the work environment, adjusting effectively to within new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures.
- Follows safety rules, SOPs, GMPs and all other company policies and processes.
- Physical ability to repetitively walk, kneel, lift, stand, climb, bend, reach, etc. within a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment.
