Job Description: Global Process Owner, Record to Report
BioMarin has experienced substantial growth organically since its inception, primarily over the last decade. This steady growth in both cost structure and staff was essential to BioMarin's emergence as a leading, fully integrated global biopharmaceutical company with approximately $2 billion in revenues from over 75 countries, a robust R&D pipeline, operating profits, and world-class technical capabilities through its 3,000 employees worldwide. As the company grows, BioMarin leadership desires to optimize the efficiency of its operations for the future through its next phase of growth.
BioMarin's Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and for scaling production of those drugs for the commercial market. These individuals build and maintain BioMarin's cutting-edge manufacturing processes and sites, provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure we meet regulatory standards, and procure the needed goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinating the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients.
In 2022 BioMarin launched its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) enterprise-wide operational initiative transforming the way we work by implementing an ERP system solution, SAP S4 HANA.
In Q1, 2025 our first five legal entities went live in SAP, the remaining entities will go live in Q1, 2026.
Implementing a new ERP impacts the entire company - putting this system in place is equally complex and transformational. The project team isbuilt around the Global Process Workflowsas outlined below:

The Global Process Owner (GPO)for each workflow isaccountable for the development and integration of the workstream into the overall programand the Process Leads willreport to them.
We are actively recruiting a Global Process Owner for Record to Report.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leads and manages the workin theRecord to ReportWork stream
  • Leads the development of business process design, system design, and implementation of business processes, ensuring alignment with the original system design for first phase go live.
  • Coordinates with development/configuration team for development related to workstream
  • Manages scope of the workstream(s)
  • Understands functions and features of ERP module(s)Manages and confirms the proper integration with other process workstreams
  • Prepares key issues, provides options for fast decision making by global process owners and steering committee
  • Reports issues, risks, and scope questions
  • Identifiesand works to prepare business case foridentifiedgaps
  • Key participant in design workshopsnot only to align on their respective work stream but towork cross functionally to ensure that the end to end of the business process are integratedacross all work streams
  • Be a change champion for the projectfunctionally and cross functionally
  • Help develop and implement processes for enabling the simplificationandstandardizationof practices in line with the SAP first and fit to standard designphilosophies.
  • Build partnerships and collaborate withglobal, functional, and regional teamsonoperational, and planning initiatives.
  • Prepareand engagethe Finance Organizationon howERPcanenablefutureopportunities, including global-end-end process in a shared service environment
  • Ensure that as the Global Process Owner for RTR that we remain true to the program guiding principles of fitting to standard SAP functionality andbeing the steward of the RTR global businessprocess.
  • Partner with the finance leadership team todrive continuous improvement opportunities post go liveas we build out the COE for ERPi.e.

The salary range for this position is: $204,200 to $306,200. BioMarin considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
