Job Duties:

Fox Technology Center, LLC seeks a Computer and Information Systems Manager (Manager, Media Infrastructure) to oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of Compute and Linux-based systems and infrastructure within the organization. Specific duties include: 1) Provide support and administrate Linux Operating Systems On-Prem and in the Cloud (AWS, GCP and Azure), Security Tool (Splunk and Crowd Strike), Load Balancer (NGINX) and Monitoring tool (DataDog). 2) Respond to and remediate unplanned outages to minimize disruptions to customers and business impact. 3) Maintain continuous and predictable product and service reliability by implementing process controls and identifying reliability requirements with quantifiable measurements for existing and new Linux systems, software and web services to prevent or to reduce the likelihood or frequency of failures. 4) Responsible for tracking, identifying, reporting and in most cases, correcting the root cause for system and service failures and degradation. 5) Responsible for monitoring the current system and services utilization, and capacity planning to ensure that there is adequate system capacity and service redundancy to meet future demands; and support technologies, systems and software as required. 6) Diagnose and remediate system issues as reported by external users, internal team members or through various monitoring systems and lead problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and external technical teams. 7) Provide escalations support per request from various constituencies. 8) Install, manage and deploy Ansible to manage the Linux environment. 9) Support a 24/7/365 operation and participate in on-call escalation chain as well as off-hour maintenance. 10) Analyze functional and technical requirements and map documents and transform them into a comprehensive test plan. 11) Plan DC maintenance, migration, installation, configure, test and implement new systems or application software. 12) Troubleshoot OS, applications and networking while leveraging internal teams for solutions. 13) Deliver changes to the Linux platform and AWS services by leveraging the change control process; and communicate and seek approval from business owners. 14) Maintain a maintenance and downtime schedule for the Linux environment and AWS services according to internal policies. 15) Analyze, implement and audit host system and network security; install and administrate firewalls (OS Level) to ensure the preservation of enterprise data; and review and deploy Linux system releases and vendor-supplied patches according to security evaluations to ensure they comply with policies and licensing agreements. 16) Maintain asset lists of all servers and applications in CMDB; and maintain security standards according to Company documentations. 17) Manage High-Availability server environments and create maintenance plans including backup/recovery/DR, and tune for performance. 18) Administer, monitor and deploy large scale systems and service solutions on AWS. 19) Collaborate with engineers to integrate end-to-end design that is well documented. 20) Recommend alternative design and platform options. 21) Monitor communications channels, monitoring tools, and related systems to ensure awareness of system stability, health and performance. 22) Plan and execute the migration of all types of workloads to cloud providers such as AWS. Lead an offshore team in Compute Administration consisting of Senior Linux and Linux Engineers.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Physics or related field (will accept a three-year or four-year Bachelor's degree), plus five (5) years of software engineering or related IT experience in DevOps CI/CD, including experience in cloud technology and virtualization.

Experience must include two (2) years of OS deployment, administration, networking, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening and troubleshooting; and team management

*Specific skills: Also requires experience or knowledge in: 1) Experience using Chef, Git, Bitbucket, VMWare and DELL Vxrail; 2) Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2); 3) Experience in ITIL process including Incident management and Change management using Service Now, Remedy, ScienceLogic, New Relic and HP Open view; 4) Experience in tools such as Autosys Job Scheduler, Vital QIP and Infoblox; 5) Experience with security tools such as Tanium, Crowdstrike and Splunk; and 6) Experience with Unix Operating System using RedHat Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu and Solaris

Must also have at least one certification(s) in: RedHat Certified System Administrator, Sun Solaris Certified System Administrator, VMware Certified Professional or AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $197,954.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
