Genesis10 is currently seeking a Database Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Pennington, NJ, and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Work as part of a development team and will develop new features, as well as maintain existing features for internally developed application built using Oracle, Informatica and Autosys Assess the technology stack of the application and implement design changes to improve the maintainability and performance of the application Work with Production Support teams to ensure stability of the application in Production environment Evaluate, analyze the problem definition and the requirements Document software high level design/approach and code Follow the software development lifecycle Review code and designs done by other team members Develop and design new software Maintain existing software Troubleshoot problems in Production and lower environments Conduct proof of concept with new technologies and vendor platforms Requirements: Minimum 10 years of experience Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role Strong knowledge of database structure systems, data modeling and data mining Strong SQL skills with experience working on relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server or equivalent) Strong knowledge of ETL Platforms like Informatica, SSIS, etc. Strong knowledge of UNIX Shell scripts and Python Experience using DB tools like Toad Data Point, Toad Data Modeler, etc. Experience using Autosys Good knowledge of the tools used in the Software Development process - JIRA, Bit Bucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, XLR, etc. Experience working in Agile teams and good understanding of software development lifecycle Troubleshooting skills Good written and verbal communication skills Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
