JOB TITLE: Associate Research Scientist in Chemistry JOB PURPOSE: The Rogers lab at the University of Wyoming is funded by US DOE BES grant DE-SC0025303 to conduct research in Exploring the Nature of f-Element Soft Donor Interactions Using Electronically Tunable Azolate Ionic Liquids. The part time Associate Research Scientist will assist in this effort by developing nanomanipulator techniques to transfer crystals of novel f-element azole complexes directly from reaction flasks to multi-platform sample holders for further study including by single crystal X-ray diffraction, Raman, IR, etc. It is anticipated that the techniques developed at UW in the Rogers lab will be transferred to collaborative work at the Colorado School of Mines using highly radioactive transuranic isotopes which require remote handling.
