RSCH AND DEV ENGR 2 TX CMP (Cellular Molecular Pha) Full Time 85017BR Job Summary Applies professional engineering expertise across electrical and biological domains to perform moderately complex assignments in bionanotechnology and molecular engineering. Works at the intersection of microelectronics fabrication, molecular/microbial engineering, and DNA nanotechnology. Handles projects involving next-generation sequencing analysis, DNA origami design and characterization, and microscale device fabrication. Develops and implements protocols for biomolecular assembly, microelectronic integration, and analytical validation. Works on multidisciplinary assignments requiring analysis of complex biological and electrical systems, interpretation of multi-modal experimental data, and integration of diverse technical approaches. Collaborates with researchers to optimize experimental protocols and advance novel bioengineering platforms. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $78,900 - $167,300 (Annual Rate). CMP provides administrative and financial services to 15 primary faculty members, 24 joint faculty members, 9 non-faculty academics, approximately 80 research and postdoctoral fellows, and 52 graduate students.
