Position Summary Leads the Molding Department, overseeing all activities and personnel involved in manufacturing high-quality components that meet service standards across both day and night shifts. Collaborates with fellow Department Leaders to achieve production targets and broader Cary North facility goals. Directly manages the day shift production team and provides oversight of the night shift through a dedicated Production Supervisor and their staff. Works in close coordination with other departments to align efforts and ensure the successful execution of Cary North and company-wide objectives. Drives continuous improvement initiatives and contributes to strategic planning and annual goal setting. Responsible for production staffing, employee development, and training programs. Manages associated budgets and monitors key performance metrics. Job Elements & Position Responsibilities * Responsible for all aspects of safety, including monitor work procedures, safety observations, correcting unsafe areas or acts and conducting accident investigation activities in the event of an accident or near miss. * Responsible for maintaining housekeeping, including 5S, ISO, BRC and other requirements. * Coordinates efforts focusing on CI, cost saving initiatives and related programs. * Provides and/or coordinates required training for production employees. * Interviews and hires new employees. * Oversee new employees onboarding and training. * Monitors staff to ensure proper quality & performance standards are achieved, attendance requirements are maintained and plant rules followed and administers discipline as needed. * Evaluates and maintains good employee performance. * Administers performance appraisals and employee development programs. * Responsible for maintaining proper housekeeping for molding and BOV equipment and plant. * Demonstrate positive and supportive leadership. * Leads shift meetings in a motivating and goal orientated fashion. * Monitors the Preventive Maintenance schedules for all equipment. Required Qualifications
Education Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, State Certified Journeyman, AS degree in Supervision is desired. Experience Five (5) years' experience as supervisor in injection molding or as deemed acceptable by department head. Skills * Strong interpersonal skills required. * Strong communication skills are required. * Strong hands on technical capabilities * Must be able to communicate with employees & managers. * Must be able to clearly write and record information. * Must possess good computer skills. * Must have strong problem solving skills. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the annual salary range for this role is $98,000 to $128,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
