The Material Fabricator must have ability to read part drawings, have mechanical aptitude, have basic math skills, and basic computer skills. It is assumed that the person applying for this position has had some experience with cutting material for the Fabrication Shop. Materials to be cut are steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. Shapes can vary from bar stock, angle, tubing or plate. The Material Fabricator will use a variety of machines to prep work for fabrication including saws, waterjet, and plasma cutter.

ESSENTIAL:

• Operate various saws as required.
• Deburr and clean parts.
• Perform basic inspection measurements.
• Display the ability to learn and advance.
• Able to work day and night shifts as required.

ADDITIONAL:

• Additional duties as assigned.
  

REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use basic layout tools.
• Must own basic hand tools to perform job
• Ability to read and comprehend drawings
• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Reliable transportation
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must pass background and drug screening

DESIRED:

• One to three years formal training (vocation or technical school).
• Waterjet operation experience
• Plasma cutting table experience
• AutoCAD experience or knowledge
• Familiar with Fabrication Shop Safety

Base pay rate of this position : $21.74 - $28.75 per hour.
