Collaborate with worldwide cross functional teams while being a key player in the development of the Fort Worth Tax Department. What will you be doing?
Review data and research tax statutes to accurately prepare and timely file income/franchise tax returns, related schedules, estimates, extensions, including proper documentation. (50%) Review general ledger accounts for tax financial reporting purposes, including monthly, quarterly, and annual filings and tax budgets. (15%) Research and prepare appropriate responses providing arguments and/or conclusions in response to federal and state tax authority notices and audits. (15%) Ensure that your tax knowledge stays up to date by utilizing technical reading, webcasts, and other training. (5%) Complete special tax technical projects as assigned and complete any other tax related functions as required. (5%) Ensure timely compliance of legislative imposed deadlines by utilizing systems to monitor such compliance (e.g., tax department calendar, notice log, etc.). Also, maintain electronic copies of appropriate records. (10%) Assist with the preparation of the ASC740 calculations.
What will you need to be successful?
Education: bachelor's degree in accounting required, master's degree in accounting (tax) preferred. CPA preferred. Experience: Four plus years' experience. Experience must include corporate, federal and state compliance. Leadership if any: N/A Travel Requirements: <10%
