Procurement/Purchasing Associates Location:Everett, WA Job ID: #71036 Pay Range: $50-60 FULLY ON SITE Possible temp to perm for the right person and dependent on business needs Schedule: CORE HOURS 9am - 3pm MUST HAVE flexibility (8hrs/day) Tier meetings with Philippines start at 8am and sometimes in afternoon at 3pm (not necessarily involved every day) until late No overtime unless approved by manager prior Interviews preferred to be on site (can be flexible with virtual but camera must be on) Responsibilities Procurement/Purchasing Associates must have motivation, common sense and good work ethic. Tasks/responsibilities will come from the program buyer. Carries out Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis. Responds to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations Carries out activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organizations best interest. Prepares purchase orders, approves payments, and negotiates prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly, under general guidance. Compiles price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices. Prepares requests for proposals (RFP) and bid packages to take on new accounts. Monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries. Established and productive professional contributor. Problems faced are difficult and may be complex. Works autonomously with limited supervision. Influences others within the work area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices. Education: Bachelor's Required and at least 7+ years of relevant experience working within Supply Chain (**do not need planners) Willing to review candidates with 10+ years' experience and no bachelor's* Experience: NEEDS Purchasing and Procurement experience Citizenship: Must be US Citizen or US Person (Green Card holder) MPI Background working with CI Business Managing those projects, part purchasing Some program management background FAQ Does the candidate need to have ERP or MRP experience to be qualified? If so, what system would the hiring team like to see on a resume? - - preferred, but not necessarily a deal breaker for me - we are using SAP - it would get them started quicker Will the candidate be purchasing any specific type of commodity or material? - - not specific, role will touch most likely all commodities. Majority of parts are machined/sheet metal parts, some vacuum formed parts, lots of hardware and electrical. All other commodities vary in the extend by the program - - not in terms of pricing - but negotiations in terms of expedite options if that makes sense What functions in Microsoft Excel will be utilized on a daily basis? - - Pivot tables, search functions, XLookUps, sorting, filtering _______________________________________________________ Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is an equal opportunity employer.
