POSITION & REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY:

Join a rapidly growing company in the healthcare industry! As a key member of the Elevate Healthcare team, the AVS Educator will work alongside internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality products and services. This role will involve collaborating with various departments such as Clinical Educators, Engineering, Clinical Specialists, Product Management, Procurement, and Internal QA to drive and maintain top-notch quality performance. By leveraging quality tools, this individual will play an integral role in shaping and enhancing the quality culture at Elevate Healthcare.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an AVS Educator, you will play a pivotal role in helping customers bridge the gap between simulation technology and outcomes. You will train and support simulation educators, operations specialists, standardized patient coordinators, and administrators. The AVS Educator will serve as a subject matter expert on the LearningSpace platform, which supports recording, debriefing, scheduling, and performance data analysis for simulation centers. You will empower users to fully leverage the platform's capabilities. The role reports to the Group Leader, Clinical and Outcome Solutions. The Group Leader, Clinical and Outcome Solutions reports to the Chief Nursing Officer. The Educator will:

  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify customer learning objectives and align with desired outcomes.
  • Deliver LearningSpace training in English to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Design and deliver engaging training programs-both synchronous and asynchronous-either independently or collaboratively.
  • Provide product feedback and collaborate with the development team to help inform future enhancements, refine functionality, and support implementation of new features.
  • Mentor peers on LearningSpace best practices and training methodologies.
  • Participate in establishing and maintaining the educational objectives and training design and content for all LearningSpace products.
  • Attend major educational and healthcare conferences, supporting Elevate initiatives and tracking emerging trends.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor's degree in healthcare, health professions education, instructional design, information technologies, or a related field is required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently within North America (weekly travel expected).
  • Proven experience in teaching, training, or instructional delivery.
  • Familiarity with high-fidelity simulation environments and/or Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs).
  • Understanding of learning theory, healthcare simulation pedagogy, and instructional design principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, simulation technicians, operations specialists, standardized patients, and healthcare leaders.
  • Ability to perform under pressure to meet deadlines.

PREFERRED:

  • Master's degree
  • Minimum of one year of experience using LearningSpace or a comparable simulation software platform.
  • At least one year of experience in healthcare simulation.
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation methods, including data collection and analysis.
  • Experience using LMS platforms and virtual learning tools.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to synthesize findings and apply insights to help customers optimize their use of LearningSpace.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating and editing educational video content.
  • Fluency in French (preferred), Spanish, or other languages is an asset.
  • Certification as a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) is considered an asset.

GENERAL:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or similar tools.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Willingness to stay updated on industry trends, simulation technologies, and educational practices.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and transport healthcare simulators and associated equipment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing; computer use; video production and presentation.
  • Able to facilitate education in both live and virtual environments.
