The RoleWe are looking for talented, energetic, and outgoing engineers to work in a rapidly growing field where you will have the opportunity to deliver state of the art Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) to some of the most exciting electric utilities around the world. You will be involved in designing, building, configuring, testing, and delivering these systems all while working closely with other driven engineers and with our customers. Specifically, you'll be working on Outage Management System (OMS) that spans the electric utility's operational and information technology domains; you will be building systems that improve the efficiency of the utility's grid operations and capture information and data in support of their business functions. These systems will expand the utility's Smart Grid capabilities by providing detailed insight into the operations of the electrical grid, from the generation of power to the delivery at the customer meter. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of the electrical grid, which will reduce environmental impacts through the conservation of crucial resources. You will be reporting to an ADMS Delivery Lead or Manager. Your Impact Develop and execute system build plans accounting for software architecture, information security, and hardware deployment. Work closely with customers to understand their operational needs, provide system training and configuration to meet their needs. Lead workshops with customers. Perform system and acceptance testing with the end customers. Develop scripts and other middleware solutions to integrate 3rd party systems. Work closely with product development and product management teams to enhance products into the future. Troubleshoot complex problems and collaborate with technical experts in various domains. Travel to customer sites and working directly with customers to successfully delivery, test, and integrate systems. What You'll Need Bachelor's degree preferrable in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering or related technical field. Minimum of 2+ years of project engineering/management work experience. Ability to travel up to 20%. Experience in one or more of the following: power systems, electric utility operations/dispatch, real-time control systems, client/server applications, network communications, UNIX / Linux / Windows operating systems, experience in software programming and scripting (Python, C / C++). Experience in Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Mongo, Cassandra) and JSON, XML. Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment. Strong commitment to providing superior customer service. #LI-DW1 The salary range for this role is $77,900.00 - $97,400.00. This range represents what we in good faith believe is the range possible for base compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors. This range may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay.
