Job Title Associate Editorial Director, FoodJob Description About The Position | Major goals and objectives Food & Wine is seeking an Associate Editorial Director, Food to oversee its food editorial content creation strategy, publishing schedule, and operations. You should have a strong foundation as a leader and manager, as a writer, editor, and multi-media storyteller, and a strong culinary foundation. You love to cook at home and dine out and want to share that passion and skill with millions of readers. You will oversee and empower a team of food editors, refine and execute a strategy for creating and marketing best-in-class content, including user experience, to grow the Food & Wine audience and increase engagement while supporting revenue goals. In this role, you will report to and work closely with the Editor-in-Chief, Senior Editorial Director, Editorial Director, and General Manager. You will create a data-informed, audience-driven food content strategy and manage a team of five editors working in multiple locations to produce high-quality recipes, articles, and editorial programs for all brand platforms including FoodandWine.com, the magazine, social and email channels, and events. As the food editorial lead, you will also partner regularly with stakeholders, including marketing, email, design, growth, video, food studios, social strategy, commerce, sales, print, PR, and more to support brand growth priorities. The Associate Editorial Director must feel extremely comfortable leading change, especially in the age of AI. This candidate must also be able to use data and insights to guide content strategy. Comfort working collaboratively and with a sense of humor in a fast-paced environment is essential. The candidate is responsible for managing projects to be completed on time, enforcing Food Department deadlines, tracking and analyzing content performance. It's crucial for this role to maintain a good relationship with the Food Studios through daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines and touchpoints. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
