Snowflake is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Manager, Enterprise Technology Asset Management, to lead our innovative and rapidly growing team. This leadership role offers a significant opportunity to build, develop, and scale the Enterprise Technology Asset Management (ETAM) program, encompassing both hardware and software assets. The Senior Manager will be pivotal in directing the lifecycle of Enterprise Technology assets, ensuring optimal utilization, driving strategic initiatives, and aligning with the overall Enterprise Technology strategy. This role will be based in our Menlo Park, CA office. It is a hybrid role that requires you to be in the office three days a week. HARDWARE ASSET MANAGEMENT LEADERSHIP:
Direct and oversee the strategic planning, implementation, and enforcement of policies and procedures for the acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of Enterprise Technology hardware assets. This includes, but is not limited to, Laptops, Network Equipment, Printers, UPSs, etc. Lead the maintenance of an accurate and comprehensive inventory of all Enterprise Technology hardware assets, including laptops, VMs, networking equipment, audiovisual devices, mobile devices, and peripherals. Strategically partner with procurement and finance teams to manage hardware purchases, vendor contracts, and budget allocation. Drive initiatives to optimize hardware utilization, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. Establish and enforce best practices for hardware standardization, consolidation, and lifecycle management. Oversee the development and maintenance of detailed asset records and reports for executive review. Provide strategic insights and regular updates to senior leadership on asset status, utilization, and lifecycle costs.
SOFTWARE ASSET MANAGEMENT LEADERSHIP:
Direct and oversee the strategic planning, implementation, and enforcement of policies and procedures for the acquisition, deployment, usage, and disposal of software assets. Lead the maintenance of an accurate and comprehensive inventory of all software licenses, subscriptions, and agreements. Ensure strategic compliance with software licensing agreements, regulatory requirements, and audit processes. Direct the tracking and management of software licenses to optimize utilization and minimize risk. Develop and implement strategies to optimize software licensing for cost-effectiveness and compliance. Strategically partner with procurement and legal teams to manage software purchases, vendor contracts, and compliance. Oversee the development and maintenance of detailed software asset records and reports for executive review. Provide strategic insights and regular updates to senior leadership on software asset status, usage, and compliance.
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP:
Lead the strategic development, continuous improvement, and scaling of the Enterprise Technology Asset Management program. Establish strategic KPIs, metrics, and reporting mechanisms to measure the ETAM program's effectiveness and drive improvements. Act as a strategic liaison between Enterprise Technology, procurement, finance, legal, and other departments to ensure cohesive asset management practices and alignment with business objectives. Mentor and develop ETAM team members. Drive strategic initiatives related to Enterprise Technology asset management, including automation, process improvement, and technology adoption. Lead other Enterprise Technology Operations cost reduction projects Establish and maintain effective working relationships with various software, hardware, and services vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive experience in Enterprise Technology Asset Management, with a significant focus on both hardware and software in a cloud-based environment. Proven experience in leading, developing, and scaling ETAM programs at an enterprise level. Deep understanding of Enterprise Technology asset lifecycle management, inventory control, procurement processes, and financial management. Extensive experience with Enterprise Technology asset management tools, software, and automation technologies. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Certifications such as ETIL, CHAMP, or CSAM are desired.

- The estimated base salary range for this role is $155,000 - $221,500.
- Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.
The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
