As a Security Professional - Access Control in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

As an Access Control Officer at this utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. Your presence and routine patrols contribute to a secure environment for staff and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication, reflecting our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach. This role requires agility and reliability as you respond to various situations and support a culture of care and innovation throughout your daily responsibilities.

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service by following access control procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related incidents.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment for personnel and visitors.
• Document and report any security-related incidents or suspicious activities according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as required during incidents or drills.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Florida Security Professional Guard Card required (FL-SP Registration).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
