Job Description

The Quality Engineer position focuses on ensuring and improving the quality of products or processes, often in manufacturing or other industries, by monitoring, testing, and analyzing data to identify and resolve issues, and implement quality control measures.

Job Responsibilities

Quality engineers play a crucial role in both QA (preventing defects) and QC (identifying defects).

Customer communications maintain professional

Monitoring and Testing: monitor and test products or processes to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

Active involvement in manufacturing process to evaluate and continuously improve the processes.

Data Analysis: They analyze data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and areas for improvement.

Update all living documents to track improvement or performance of process

Problem Solving: Identify quality issues, recommend solutions, and implement corrective actions.

* Core tools of quality knowledge and usage

* 8D corrective action methodology

Documentation: Create and maintain quality documentation, such as reports, procedures, and specifications.

Process Improvement: They contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying and implementing process improvements.

Desired Skills

* Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of the relevant industry, products, and processes is essential.

* Problem-Solving: Ability to identify, analyze, and solve quality problems.

* Data Analysis: Proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data.

* Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

* Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is crucial for identifying quality issues.

Background & Skills

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering (Industrial or Production), or Business Administration

* Three or more years' relevant work experience

* Computer literacy and strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel

* Knowledge of process documentation and record keeping

* Awareness of materials planning and purchasing methods

* Knowledgeable of ERP software such as Axapta or SAP

* Ability to independently start and perform with minimal supervision

* Strong in solving problems

* Team player and ability to fit into an established team

* Good communication skills

* Ability to perform in often stressful, multi-task environment

* U.S. work authorization
