Position Summary Our Human Resources team is looking for a highly motivated individual with strong technical skills and demonstrated expertise in the processes and programs owned by the Employee Engagement Center of Excellence (COE). The initial area of focus will be on employee engagement measurement, including survey item design, survey administration, report and/or dashboard design, data analytics, interfacing with the survey vendor, and supporting various initiatives aligned to enterprise engagement priorities. The position will serve as a utility player and over time, may work on a variety of processes and initiatives, collaborating across Talent Management and HR to design and deliver employee engagement and talent management programs, processes, and initiatives. Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
- Lead the employee engagement survey process, including survey item design, survey administration, report and/or dashboard design and data analytics
- Manage internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Track and measure progress against employee engagement initiatives and collaborate with HRBPs to make recommendations and ensure sustainability
- Integrate employee engagement data with other initiatives (both within HR and the company overall) to provide analytics and insights
- Consult on other measurement initiatives, such as survey design, program evaluation or focus groups
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and an ongoing understanding of engagement trends and best practices
- Pursue technology enhancements to improve the how leaders interact with engagement survey data - such as comments analysis and manager action planning
Basic/Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- In addition to required degree, five (5) years minimum of related experience
Success Factors/Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree preferably in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Business Administration or closely related discipline
- Prior experience in employee engagement measurement, including survey design, survey administration and report design
- Strong data and talent analysis skills/ mindset with a deep understanding of HR data and ability to simplify large data sets to tell a story to stakeholders
- Prior experience interfacing and consulting with all levels of management
- Prior experience working with external vendors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple deliverables and develop tactical delivery plans
- Ability to learn from experiences and agile in adapting to new and different situations
- Ability to able to influence and bring the right people together for decision making; considers the upstream and downstream impacts
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Working Conditions
- This position will be based in Charlotte, NC and work in a hybrid fashion, work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable commute to Duke Energy Plaza.
