Job Overview The Principal, Customer & Digital Strategy & Operations, leads strategy development, project execution, and operational improvements that support Macy's Customer and Digital business. This role reports to the VP, Digital Strategy & Analytics and partners closely with Customer & Digital leadership and cross-functional teams to drive top digital growth initiatives through structured problem solving, analytical rigor, and collaborative execution. What You Will Do
Skills You Will Need Strategic Thinking: Able to translate complex business challenges into clear strategies and actionable plans that align with enterprise goals. Analytical Rigor: Brings deep analytical skills to solve complex problems, derive insights from large datasets, and inform strategic decisions. Data Literacy: Skilled in statistical analysis, data interpretation, and performance measurement; fluent in using data to influence outcomes and evaluate results. Storytelling & Executive Communication: Effectively communicates insights and strategies through compelling presentations tailored to various audiences, including senior leadership. Project Leadership: Experienced in leading cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution, with a focus on delivering measurable business impact. Change Management: Leads cultural and organizational change by influencing stakeholders, aligning teams, and championing transformation efforts. Collaboration & Influence: Builds strong partnerships across functions; drives alignment and progress even without direct authority. Business Acumen: Understands Macy's operating model, customer behavior, digital commerce, and enterprise priorities to make informed decisions. Curiosity & Initiative: Proactively identifies opportunities for innovation; thrives in ambiguity and drives continuous improvement. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint; able to effectively communicate technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
