Velosity Brooklyn Park is searching for a Customer Service Specialist to support our manufacturing facility in Brooklyn Park, MN. This role performs a wide variety of tasks to support customers and Velosity team needs.

This is an on-site position.

The typical pay range for this role: $20.52-$30.79/hour. This role is also eligible for our 5% quarterly bonus target.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

Essential Duties:

  • Receive PO's, process orders, and provide acknowledgments and updates
  • Acknowledge all customer inquiries, issues within 24hrs
  • Act as a liaison between customers and appropriate Velosity personnel
  • Assist team members with administrative tasks and special projects as needed
  • Maintain pricing and customer information in Epicor
  • Facilitate customer inquiries
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED-General Studies
  • Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
  • Minimum 1 year customer service, administrative or data entry experience preferred.
  • The ability to multitask, run several projects at the same time without losing the ability to complete them on time; communicate with other departments, suppliers and customers in a professional and respectful manner; basic computer skills; strong problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and business operating systems; Knowledge of inventory control in a manufacturing environment is recommended.
  • To be able to perform daily tasks safely; To work independently with limited supervision; To deal tactfully with many people with varied personalities; To keep all types of information confidential.

Physical & Mental Demands:

  • Walking is required within the office/shop areas. Sitting, standing, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers are physical requirements. Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to walk, sit and occasionally climb and balance. Must be able to lift 10 pounds and move objects in a safe manner using proper equipment. Must have dexterity with hands.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner (results oriented); Ability to make decisions with limited information.

Work Environment:

This is a non-smoking, professional manufacturing shop with normal lighting and climate control. This position may require one to move throughout the shop and office and may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in an injection molding/ Precision Machining shop.

Protective Clothing Required:

When in certain locations of the facility, eye and ear protection are required. Closed-toed/ Slip resistant shoes are also required in certain locations.
