Refrigeration Rack Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in ammonia refrigeration systems. This role involves performing maintenance, repairs, and installations of refrigeration systems in various settings. The Refrigeration Technician will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations while providing exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration units.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC systems and other mechanical equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to understand system operations.
• Conduct field service calls to assess customer needs and provide effective solutions.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
• Collaborate with other technicians and staff to ensure efficient operations.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their refrigeration needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or similar role, with a focus on ammonia refrigeration preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills related to HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Experience in field service operations is highly desirable.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to operate a van for service calls.
• Familiarity with plumbing systems is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
