Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for a Quality & Training, Director to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The Training and Quality Assurance Director plays a pivotal role in designing, approving, and evaluating quality and training programs for clinical operations. They will provide constructive feedback, effective communication with supervisors, and contribute to overall company performance through performance management and quality analysis. Additionally, the role encompasses leading the Quality & Training team to achieve the best outcomes for an independent assessment contract serving New York's most vulnerable beneficiaries.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate as a member of the contract leadership team to set strategy for delivering services to New York's Medicaid population seeking access to services
  • Design, approve, and evaluate training programs, and training materials to ensure clinicians are ready for assessments and physician orders.
  • Develop training for optimal engagement of New York's Medicaid population including topics such as motivational interviewing, cultural sensitivity, health equity, and working with a diverse population of individuals including those not proficient in English.
  • Ability to observe, analyze, and give constructive feedback.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and other quality tools; ability to apply quality methodology to improvement contract operations.
  • Provide feedback to managers on training/coaching requirements for their employees.
  • Build and develop strong interpersonal relationships with the team, to cohesively bond them together with the company and integrate them with the vision and core values.
  • Identify areas of inefficiency, development and contract underperformance and work with contract leadership on a plan to take action.
  • Communicating with Supervisors and Managers from all departments regarding the company's operations and activities on every project.
  • Support performance management systems to enhance the company's performance.
  • Prepare and analyze internal and external quality reports.
  • Manage QA team members' performance reviews and comments.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare field required
  • Experience working with operations teams servicing Medicaid beneficiaries and other healthcare stakeholders.
  • Minimum of 3 Years of Experience in a role working with a clinical operations team in a quality and training capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Clinical degree highly preferred (RN, NP, PA)
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Experience designing and implementing quality and training programs for clinical operations teams.
  • Experience training, evaluating, and retraining clinical operations teams on cultural sensitivity and health equity.
  • Excellent influencing skills with state Medicaid leadership, senior leadership, as well as with front-line operations staff.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Problem analysis and solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze and present data including tracking performance over time.
