Test Engineer

Introduction:

We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented and mission-driven Test Engineer to support technical initiatives within a high-visibility federal environment. This role involves hands-on engagement in the testing and evaluation of systems and hardware critical to national priorities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced, dynamic setting that requires discretion, adaptability, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Plan, design, and execute test plans, test cases and test scripts for complex systems and hardware in support of federal priorities.

• Conduct functional, regression, performance and security testing across different platforms

• Conduct data-driven analysis to evaluate system performance, reliability, and compliance with mission requirements.

• Collaborate with engineering teams and senior technical staff to identify test requirements and develop appropriate solutions.

• Support end-to-end testing activities, including integration, validation, and quality assurance.

• Support continuous integration by automating test execution in the DevOps pipeline

• Contribute to system analysis and acquisition processes by producing accurate, thorough test documentation and technical evaluations.

• Assist in the development of reports, briefings, and recommendations for senior leadership based on test findings.

• Maintain alignment with security, privacy, and compliance standards required in a sensitive, high-level federal environment.

• Ensure compliance with Section 508, FIPS 199 and data protection standards

Location and Travel Requirements:

This is an onsite role out of the Washington D.C. Area with travel as needed.

Clearance Requirements:

Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in systems or hardware testing including both manual and automated testing tools.

• Strong understanding of test methodologies and system evaluation techniques.

• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting technical initiatives within the federal government.

• Experience with .Net and SharePoint applications.

• Familiarity with test frameworks, automated tools, or scripting for test automation.

• Experience with Selenium, Postman or similar tools

• Ability to preform cross-platform testing including mobile devices

• Knowledge of acquisition lifecycle documentation and federal system compliance requirements.

• Demonstrated ability to navigate high-level stakeholder environments with professionalism and discretion.
