The AVP of Project Management is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the management and execution of key strategic Supply Chain initiatives within the organization. This position involves managing a team of Project Managers, identifying new strategic projects, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, and leading communication efforts related to project impacts. The role also includes overseeing management and coordination of product conversions to ensure a standardized process across the enterprise.

Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

Manage and Professionally Develop Strategic Projects Team:

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Identify training and development needs and create individualized development plans.

Oversee Project Management Activities:

  • Supervise the execution of project management activities associated with key Supply Chain strategic projects.
  • Ensure alignment of project activities with Supply Chain and broader TJU organizational goals and strategic priorities.
  • Provide guidance and support to Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery.

Manage Strategic Project Pipeline:

  • Continuously assess organizational needs and opportunities to identify potential Supply Chain strategic projects.
  • Evaluate potential projects for alignment with strategic goals/objectives, and advocate for initiatives that align with Supply Chain Guiding Principles.

Monitor Ongoing Project KPIs:

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure Supply Chain project success and impact.
  • Regularly review project KPIs to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement, and provide updates on project performance to senior leadership.

Oversee Product and Service Conversions:

  • Manage coordinators facilitating the product and service conversions processes to ensure adherence to standardized procedures.

Lead Communication Efforts:

  • Oversee Regional change management providing continuous improvement and operational excellence and standardization across the Enterprise.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree preferred; or equivalent work experience

AND

Experience:

12 or more years in project management and/or supply chain roles

Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements:

Advanced Project Management or Lean Six Sigma certifications preferred

Microsoft Excel Certificate preferred

Additional Information

High degree of familiarity with Healthcare Supply Chain

Solid understanding of project methodologies and tools
