We are currently looking for a Sample Receiving Associate to join our growing team!
JOB SUMMARY
The Sample Receiving Associate(s) are responsible for entering data into the Certified Laboratories' Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) in a timely and accurate manner. The Sample Receiving Associates(s) will interact with internal and external clients and support the accounting department in processing payments for COD clients.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Unpack shipments and accept internal and external shipments.
- Enter/ review samples for discrepancy and make the necessary corrections to the entered sample.
- Ensure all samples are labeled correctly and stored at the appropriate temperatures until testing can occur.
- Log customer samples in real time into the LIMS system with accuracy and speed.
- Interact with clients via email/phone and/or internal chemistry lab team with any sample inquiries.
- Build and maintain productive collaborative relationships within the department and across the organization to effectively support the customer.
- Prioritize daily assignments, workload, plan, and organize to keep a smooth and accurate workflow.
- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other departments.
- Provide other general office support as needed and requested.
- Responsible for the shipping of packages while using proper procedures for the packaging of samples, supplies, and documents.
- Ensure the receiving department is kept organized.
- Assist with the return of customer coolers and/or samples as requested.
- Ensures adherence to the daily work schedule and safety procedures.
- Must demonstrate customer service skills.
- Able to adapt to changes to improve company processes.
- Able to work overtime or (some Saturdays as needed).
- Other job-related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School degree; some college degree in science related field preferred.
- Data entry experience required.
- Must be able to type at least 55 WPM
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, handling large volumes of work accurately and within established timelines.
- Computer literate. Be able to work with Microsoft programs, search engines, basic spreadsheets, etc.
- Knowledge of and experience with MS office suite, specifically word, excel and outlook
- Must be able to work evening shift , 2:00pm-10:30pm.

- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and to handle other communications/computer components.
- Potential exposure to odors, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, and microbiological pathogens
