Role Description

Project Management Associate

The Project Management Associate sits within the ZRL Project Management department. The Associate participates in program and project development, disseminates project information and serves as an active participant in project-related work groups and committees. This role works in partnership with Project Managers and collaborates with other functional areas to deliver optimal outcomes. The incumbent may also be responsible for individually leading small projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the project manager or leader with various tasks related to the project life cycle, such as:
    • Conducting research and analysis to identify the project scope, objectives, and requirements
    • Preparing and updating project documents; communicating and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
    • Tracking and reporting on the project progress, performance, and issues
    • Ensuring the project quality, compliance, and alignment with organizational standards and goals
    • Providing administrative and logistical support.
  • Works directly on assigned projects, including involvement in project team meetings, tracking project progress, and providing project update reports
  • Works with the PMO & Program Manager to define implementation standards to ensure consistency
  • Supports ZRL colleagues in management of their projects, in areas as directed by manager
  • All other projects and work as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 1 - 2 years experience working on projects preferred
  • Experience working in the veterinary or laboratory industry preferred

Technical Skills Requirements

  • Basic understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices and be able to apply them to different projects and situations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Team player, willing to get involved at any level or capacity to ensure the project's success
  • Consistent professional behavior in all activities
  • Comfortable with public speaking with small groups
  • Ability to effectively prepare information for formal presentation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-discipline and drive for results
  • Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and across organizational boundaries
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Ability to quickly learn project management software

Physical Position Requirements

  • Must be able to work on a computer for majority of work
  • Must be able to collaborate with colleagues, and work efficiently, and effectively while remote
  • Must be able & willing to travel (up to 25% at times)

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to
be located in (Colorado). Base pay may vary based on location and other factors.

Base Pay Range: $53,000 - $76,000

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in (California), (NJ Remote), (NY Remote), or (Washington). Base pay may vary based on location and
other factors.

Base Pay Range: $60,000 - $86,000
