Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for Clinical Director (RN) to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The Assessments Director (RN) directs and oversees all community health assessments for eligible members in NY. The primary purpose is to guide the program towards enhanced clinical efficiencies, ensuring that deliverables and assigned contract functions consistently meet the highest standards. This strategic approach aims to strengthen customer relationships and fulfill contractual requirements. The role includes oversight of RN managers with responsibility for RN assessors completing both in person and telehealth eligibility assessments throughout NYS.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to direct reports in their roles, overseeing independent assessments to members throughout NYS. This includes adherence to operational standards, quality outcomes, regulatory and contractual compliance, policies and procedures, and quality monitoring.
  • Ensure clinical operations comply with contractual requirements by monitoring critical indicators and adjusting processes to address negative variances.
  • Perform cross regional organization to enhance operating efficiencies
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing operating efficiencies.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within and outside of Acentra Health
  • Contribute to achieving annual organizational priorities and operational indicators.
  • Foster effective communication with staff through various channels, such as one-on-one meetings, team meetings, and interdepartmental meetings.
  • Oversee contract activities, including service level agreement metrics, processes, staff development, internal training, process quality, deliverables, and budgetary compliance.
  • Implement contracting strategies and programs that reduce cost as well as maximize revenue streams.
  • Provide advice and assistance to leaders in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of modifications to existing operations, systems, and procedures.
  • Operate in a highly matrixed environment, which includes cross functional collaboration with all business units.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted RN Licensed in NY.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare related field
  • Extensive experience managing clinical operations or clinical program management
  • 3+ years of management experience, ideally running large scale programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MSN, MBA, MHA) strongly preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Current working knowledge clinical operations, including home assessments
  • Familiar with project management and lean six methodologies
  • Customer-focused, results-oriented, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to plan and prioritize multiple assignments are essential.
  • Proficient in examining and re-examining operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with the U.S. healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing diverse customer needs.
  • Ability to participate as a team member, fostering collaborative decision-making among leadership, committees, teams, or workgroups of diverse composition.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other essential software programs for job functions.
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
  • Skilled in employee development and performance management.
  • Capability to provide technical guidance and leadership to the management team.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
