We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager Indirect Tax Operations to join our Tax team. This role will report to the Indirect tax lead based in San Francisco and work closely with team members located at various global locations, including remote. The ideal candidate brings extensive indirect tax operational process excellence experience at a multi-national company, including in the areas of compliance, SOX, audits, and business partner tax inquiry support.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and implement strategies to optimize indirect tax operations with respect to sales and use taxes, telecommunications taxes, business and gross receipts taxes, GSTs, and VATs.
  • Collaborate with the Tax team and Finance leadership in developing a global solution for indirect tax compliance.
  • Own operational metrics for timely, accurate, and efficient indirect tax filings.
  • Maintain SOX compliance.
  • Develop business processes incorporating technology solutions and an optimized operational model to support business partner and customer indirect tax inquiries.
  • Partner with source-to-pay process owners to operationalize indirect tax requirements that ensure proper tax treatment of purchase activities.
  • Oversee first-level audit support and defense.
  • Responsible for team development.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10 years or more experience with indirect tax return compliance and operations.
  • US sales and use taxes technical expertise
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and tax determination systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a corporate tax environment.
  • Experience with tax technology solutions.
  • US telecommunicates taxes compliance expertise.
