SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Human Resources (HR) Intern will provide support to the HR department by assisting with various administrative tasks, employee engagement activities, and HR initiatives. This position is ideal for a college student seeking hands-on experience in HR and human resource management. The intern will learn about HR operations, employee relations, recruitment, and compliance while contributing to the overall success of the HR team. CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt (hourly) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides administrative support to the HR team, such as filing, organizing, and preparing materials for meetings.
- As directed, assists in the recruitment process by posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Maintains and updates employee records and HR databases.
- Assists with onboarding and orientation for new employees.
- Supports employee engagement and retention activities, such as organizing events or surveys.
- Helps prepare HR-related reports and presentations.
- Manages HR documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Handles employee inquiries as directed.
- Engages with all levels of staff
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently enrolled in a college or university, preferably with a major in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Basic understanding of business principles and practices.
- Ability to be detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to be proactive, motivated, and a self-starter.
- Strong interest in technology and its applications in HR.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Prior experience or coursework related to HR is a plus but not required.
