Vice President, MHS Internation Program
Reporting to the Regional Senior Vice President for the NYC Region, the Vice President, this position is responsible for the overall direction and leadership of MHS's international relationships. This senior role will focus on developing strategic relationships with foreign embassies, consulates, and international stakeholders, ensuring the international program aligns with MHS's goals and objectives.
You will oversee the financial and operational aspects of the international program, manage a department budget, and ensure the financial stability of the initiative. The position will involve frequent travel to foreign embassies and international locations, requiring excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to represent MHS in global healthcare markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic International Growth: Develop and execute strategies to increase the number of international patients through relationship-building and contracts with various embassy representatives.
- Embassy & International Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with foreign embassies, consulates, and countries to enhance MHS's global healthcare presence.
- Financial Oversight & Planning: Support the financial goals of the MHS International Program by planning, developing, monitoring, and managing the department's finances.
- Fiscal Responsibility: Demonstrate fiscal responsibility in managing budgets, ensuring financial stability, and maximizing revenue.
- Department Management: Develop and manage the department's annual budget and salary plans.
- Business Planning & New Programs: Collaborate with the Senior Vice President to create and evaluate business plans and new programs aimed at international growth.
- Strategic International Planning: Lead short- and long-term strategic planning for the international program, ensuring alignment with the broader MMC strategy.
- Market Growth: Elevate MHS's position in the global healthcare market, expanding the international patient base and promoting the international program.
- Representation & Travel: Represent MHS at national and international events involving embassies, providing follow-up with embassy personnel and engaging in international outreach. Travel to foreign embassies and consulates is required.
- Leadership: Demonstrate and incorporate advanced leadership skills, guiding the international program to meet institutional goals effectively and efficiently.
- Program Promotion: Enhance and promote the image and reputation of the MHS International Program within the healthcare industry.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, International Affairs, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in international relations, global healthcare, or related fields.
- Proven experience in leadership roles, especially in managing international programs and stakeholder relationships.
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage senior executives, foreign embassy personnel, and international stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of financial management, including budget development, monitoring, and reporting, in an international context.
- Experience in creating and executing strategic plans that align with broader organizational goals.
- Ability to travel internationally and engage with foreign embassies, consulates, and government entities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to represent MHS at high-level diplomatic and business events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
- Experience in global healthcare operations or international patient care.
