Description MaineHealth Behavioral HealthBehavioral Health ~ 40 Hours/week, Day shift ~ Remote position The referral navigator is an integral role within the Access Team, working to support both patients and our referring partners in connecting patients to the right care at the right time. The referral navigator reviews eligibility criteria, ensures completed insurance verification, provides informed consent for services, and schedules all initial assessment appointments into the clinic. If services are not available, the referral navigator works to connect patients to our community partners. The referral navigators answer live incoming calls with patients looking to self-refer for services and work collaboratively within each of the outpatient offices, requiring strong relational and communication skills. Summary This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, benefit eligible role. This is a remote position, based out of the Biddeford Outpatient Clinic. MaineHealth Behavioral Health provides an array of services at our outpatient practices for adults, adolescents and children challenged with mental health, developmental disorders, co-occurring and/or substance use disorders. In this role you will ensure that customer service practices are ethical, culturally-competent, and respectful of diversity and inclusion, welcoming and geared to satisfaction and will be compliant with regulatory, accreditation, contract and best practice standards. The Referral Navigator role is responsible for the completion of the referral process to support clients referred to services to begin treatment quickly.
