Position Description:

This position is responsible for using a wide variety of precision measuring equipment to perform visual and mechanical inspection of critical tolerances of machined parts, assemblies, sub-assemblies and completed units.

Essential Functions:

  • Checks tolerance and performs visual inspection of machined parts, subassemblies and completed units using a variety of tools and gauges.
  • Verifies each step in the process is completed and recorded properly.
  • Uses test equipment and gauges following engineering instructions.
  • Summarize, file, and maintain records and parts traceability.

Required Experience:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED (1 year of relevant course work at a technical/vocation program preferred).
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in mechanical inspection process or machining/assembling processes in manufacturing preferred.
  • Must be able to understand basic math calculations.
  • Must have basic understanding of how to read/interpret blueprints.
  • Must have the ability to verify threaded holes, hole size, and other geometric features.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US, visa sponsorship not available

This position is located 100% onsite at our Black Mountain, NC facility. Relocation assistance is not available.
