Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Facilities Technician to join our growing team in Bend, OR. The primary responsibility of the Facilities Technician is to support facility maintenance, facility projects and to provide metrology services in support of laboratory operations in a GMP compliant facility performing Extractables and Leachables testing.



Responsibilities

    Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, qualification and calibration activities as required by procedures
  • Troubleshoot issues with facilities systems and laboratory equipment such as incubators, fume hoods, water system, HVAC, etc., including responding to alarms
  • Perform laboratory support functions such as lab glassware cleaning, waste batching, and controlled supplies receiving
  • Oversee building infrastructure projects and minor building repairs utilizing project plans and following change management processe
  • Collaborate with Safety Leader and site leadership to maintain safe working environment for employees
  • Follow standard operation procedures and work within the laboratory quality system including the creation, revision and review of controlled procedures for the continuous improvement of the Quality System


Skills / Qualifications

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Suite software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, D365, OneDrive, Teams, etc.; comfortable working with a variety of software platforms
  • Good communication and mathematical skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 - 3 years relevant experience; experience in GMP environment preferred
  • General technical, electrical and mechanical competency
  • Self-motivated team player with excellent organizational and time management skills

Physical Demands:

  • Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate).
  • Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and > 50 lbs. on occasion
  • Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
  • Ability to carry equipment up and down stairs
  • Ability to work in low/tight spaces for extended periods of time that requires bending and twisting
