LOGISTICS SPECIALIST - APP L3 - USSF 24/7 OPS

**THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD**

JOB SUMMARY:MCSG is seeking a Logistics Specialist to manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, ensuring accurate inventory control and efficient organization of supplies. Responsibilities include authorizing shipments, recording inventory transactions, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining communication with suppliers and vendors. The role requires proficiency in inventory tools and Microsoft Office, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform regular physical tasks. Work Schedule:Monday-Friday (0800-1600) with occasional on-call support as needed.Location:This position is on-site at Vandenberg SFB, CA.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Perform stock control of on-site spares, miscellaneous parts, and work order residue.
• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Maintains work area and serves as contact for suppliers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Assures that materials, parts, and assemblies are stored in an efficient manner and that shipments are prepared in accordance with documentation, noting, and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven work experience with Inventory Controls Tools.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more.
• Frequently required to handle; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: 5 years of logistics support experience.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Associate's degree in logistics, business administration, supply chain management or related field.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:Top Secret/SCI clearance
