We're looking for a Network Engineer who expects more from their career. It's a chance to apply your expertise to face a wide range of challenges in managing enterprise network and respective vendors, assisting with improving currently standards, working on deployment of new technologies, and working closely with the Network Architect on technical direction goals based on dunnhumby's defined goals."

What we expect from you



  • Post-secondary education (degree or diploma) in Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or Engineering or related certifications.
  • 3+ years of related experience, including management and operation of enterprise networking services and security infrastructure.
  • Knowledge & experience at CCNP/CCIE level of LAN technologies (switches, routers, wireless and firewalls) including centralised monitoring and management in large-scale, high-availability environments.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, TCP/IP, networking and information system security principles, practices and technologies.
  • Knowledge of Layer 2 protocols (e.g. STP, RSTP).
  • Knowledge of Layer 3 protocols (e.g. OSPF, BGP).
  • dunnhumby makes considerable use of Cisco technologies across the organisation. There is an expectation that the successful candidate shall have knowledge of large scale LAN/WAN switching and routing implementation and operation with specific knowledge of VLAN, VPN, MPLS and VPLS networking
  • Knowledge of QoS and LAN traffic management techniques.
  • Experience with NGFWs - Palo Alto
  • Understanding of network monitoring tools and their implementation
  • Specific experience of the following... Cisco 7K Switches, Cisco Stackable Switches, Cisco Wireless, Cisco IOS-XE, Cisco routers ISR/CSR, Cisco ISE, Solarwinds Management System, Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • Knowledge of automated deployments with either Terraform or Ansible (will add value)
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure deployment & management on public cloud like Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure (will add value)
