Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Software Developer to join their dynamic and growing team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative software solutions and make a meaningful impact. As a key member of their development team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining mission-critical applications that support our business operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Translate business requirements into effective software solutions, ensuring alignment with the strategic unit's architecture and technical standards.
- Develop, maintain, and refactor in-house data extract/transformation console applications and web-based workflow management tools.
- Foster a collaborative team environment by contributing to software development standards, performing code reviews, and maintaining version control.
- Act as a technical resource for server-based third-party applications within the team's scope, ensuring smooth operations and troubleshooting as required.
- Monitor daily performance events and address any issues to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
- Conduct systems analysis and recommend improvements in policies and procedures to enhance operations.
- Safeguard operational integrity by ensuring the confidentiality of information.
- Work with the software architecture/technical standards working group to develop policies and procedures, focusing on architecture.
- Contribute to the development of the software product roadmap, offering design and product recommendations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior software engineers through advice, code reviews, and educational opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in a software engineering role, with a strong focus on SQL/LINQ, Blazor, or third-party enterprise software applications.
- Proficiency in C#, SQL (Microsoft or PostgreSQL), and Visual Studio; experience with Blazor or ReactJS is a plus.
- Proven experience in creating and maintaining API interfaces.
- A commitment to continuous learning, staying up to date with the latest development tools, programming techniques, and industry trends.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
- Previous experience in the healthcare, employee benefits, or EDI space, particularly in B2B and B2C environments is highly preferred.
