Job DescriptionThe Help Desk Coordinator directly reports to the Support Center Help Desk. This person will be primarily responsible for answering and transferring incoming calls from the main line. The coordinator will assist with other OIT Call Center duties as required. The position also involves providing basic technical and troubleshooting support when appropriate.

The salary range for this position is $36,545.69 - $39,286.62

The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Please Note: This is a hybrid position that requires travel to one of our TSTC locations Essential Functions
  • Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students, and members of the community.

  • Answer and forward incoming calls from the main campus line while providing exemplary customer service. Maintain knowledge to answer general campus questions.

  • Assist with department needs that can include but are not limited to managing emails, ticket processing, and basic troubleshooting tasks.

  • Open and/or close work orders (via Help Desk software) on calls received. Escalate issues as necessary to ensure positive resolution.

  • Guide end-users through basic troubleshooting procedures to restore service, such as resetting passwords, providing guidance on accessing resources, or identifying the need for escalation.

  • Attend meetings and review departmental communication and email as necessary to maintain knowledge of existing and new departmental procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills
  • Associates Degree in Technical field

  • Minimum 1 year customer service experience.

  • Proficiency handling multiple responsibilities and priorities.

  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication.

  • Computer fluency, including administrative software, communication software, and basic technical troubleshooting.

  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with college faculty, staff, administration, prospects, applicants, students, and external constituents.

  • Basic understanding of desktop and network troubleshooting procedures (e.g., resetting passwords, assisting with software navigation).

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to work effectively without constant supervision and as a team player.

  • Must possess a valid Texas driver's license and be insurable by the State of Texas.

  • Appropriate background check.
