The hiring range for this role is:

$25.00 - $25.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the hiring range and this hiring range may also be modified in the future. A candidate's position within the hiring range may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.This job is also eligible for annual bonus incentive pay.

This internship is located in Chicago, IL. This is a hybrid position with 3-4 days in-office.

As an intern, you will get hands-on experience in various IT Service Management (ITSM) functions, including incident management, service request management, IT service delivery, and customer satisfaction. The intern will be involved in survey capture and assessment to gauge the customer experience.

Responsibilities:
*Assist in incident management and service request management.
*Support IT service delivery and customer satisfaction initiatives.
*Capture and assess customer satisfaction surveys.
*Learn light project management, including handling project timelines and tasks within projected budgets.
*Gain exposure to ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
*Participate in learning core computing areas like asset management and active directory.
*Engage in customer-facing activities, including the Tech Lounge, to assist EUS in delighting our BCBSA customers.
Learning Opportunities:
*Develop skills in ITSM functions and tools.
*Understand project management principles and practices.
*Enhance knowledge of asset management and active directory.
*Improve customer service skills through direct interaction.

Primary Job Functions

  • Ensure complete confidentiality of company business.

  • Keep management informed about developments within areas of responsibility and handle special projects as needed.

  • Create a final PowerPoint presentation to share with department leadership, summarizing the internship experience, the assigned project, results, and any recommendations for future use.

  • Adhere to HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies, and other relevant corporate and departmental policies.

  • Ensure complete confidentiality of company business.

  • Keep management informed about developments within areas of responsibility and handle special projects as needed.

  • Create a final PowerPoint presentation to share with department leadership, summarizing the internship experience, the assigned project, results, and any recommendations for future use .

Education, Experience and Certification

Education

Required:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Information Technology Systems Management OR related field.

  • Graduation date between December 2025 - June 2026 (Preferred)

  • A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0

  • Availability to work ten weeks during the summer

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Self-starter with good time management skills

  • Proactive and eager to learn

  • Strong computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint preferred.

  • Experience or familiarity with Service Now or other ITSM tools is a plus.
