Salesforce Product Owner Location: Remote, must reside in the USA Job Overview: Our Salesforce Product Owner will be responsible for supporting the business with the strategic improvement of Salesforce functionality by developing efficient and user-friendly solutions. The team member must have several years of experience serving as a Salesforce Administrator in a fast-paced environment supporting complex projects and business requirements. They must be self-driven and want to leverage Salesforce to support an efficient organization. The product owner will build relationships with teams they serve within our Sales and Customer Enablement teams, including Sales Operations, Sales Enablement, and Customer Support. They will also partner with business analysts and developers to shape our Salesforce solutions within the Learning A-Z ecosystem. Job Responsibilities:
Own the product vision and roadmap for Salesforce and ensure the product backlog is visible, open, and clear to all. Define, prioritize and ensure a ready backlog of work for a cross-functional team, accept final output, focusing on achievement of defined outcomes. Effectively manage a backlog of deliverables and capabilities as well as 'test and learn'/experimentation targeted at defining/refining future deliverables, measuring performance and adjusting the overall roadmap of deliverables as needed. Make trade-off decisions to maximize value. Translate business strategies and needs into execution ready work for an Agile product team; define team goals and strategy, ensuring alignment with vision; Articulate team goals and strategy effectively to key stakeholders, team leads, and team members. Act as voice of the end-user; have a deep understanding of and anticipate and proactively seek customer feedback ensuring needs and requirements are clearly defined; ensure teamwork product meets defined acceptance criteria. Optimize the flow of value by setting priorities and key performance indicators (KPIs) for solutions. Inform and participate in business readiness; understand the impact of change, translate the approach to manage adoption and mitigate resistance. Provide feedback on work-in-progress, clarify requirements and contribute to removing roadblocks or impediments; Look for opportunities for continuous team and process improvement. Partner with key leaders and peers across to determine resources required to achieve defined business outcomes. Share best practices across teams to ensure alignment and consistency in ways of working within a value stream. Foster an innovative, inclusive and diverse team environment, promoting LAZ values and behaviors in team culture, encouraging collaboration and self-organization. Partner with business leads and key stakeholders to translate business strategy and opportunity into a strategic technical roadmap, associated budgets and a detailed prioritized backlog of user stories. Collaborate with technical and business teams to implement, measure, and learn from product improvements. Product expert combining industry analysis, end-user feedback and development knowledge. Drive consensus while finding a path forward to deliver a roadmap that everyone can rally around. In-depth knowledge of business processes and the ability to foster conversations and translate into actionable development within the Salesforce ecosystem. Manage and motivate a team of 2-4 employees to achieve performance targets and exceed customer expectations. Develop and implement strategies to optimize team efficiency, streamline processes, and drive continuous improvement. Provide coaching, guidance, and mentorship to team members, fostering a positive work culture and facilitating professional growth and development.
Job Requirements:
7+ years' experience performing as a Salesforce Certified Administrator. Excellent knowledge and passion of Salesforce. Experience acting as a lead technical resource on projects. Experience implementing and integrating third party applications with Salesforce, knowledge of API and other tools a plus. Highly organized and detailed-oriented. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Quick learner with ability to grasp business processes. Ability to establish priorities and work autonomously. 5+ years' experience with product management or product owner certification Proven experience with teams using various frameworks or methods for delivering project results or developing products in SaaS environment. Proven ability and initiative to learn and research new concepts, ideas, and technologies quickly. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across teams without direct reporting structure and support impactful change management. Ability to communicate and present ideas to all levels of the organization that includes both technical and non-technical audiences.
