The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for driving the strategic and operational success of the Equipment Service team, focusing on profitability, growth, and team development. Leading with a people-first approach, this role supervises and supports both Install and Service Managers to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement across all functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Lead the equipment service team, creating a people first environment focused on skill development, efficiency, and delivering exceptional service, while ensuring safety, quality, and exceeding operational standards.
  • Collaborate with leaders, owners, contractors, and design professionals to effectively address and resolve work procedures, concerns, or construction challenges.
  • Efficiently plan and coordinate Service and Install project activities ensuring deadlines are met
  • Proactively maintain the install schedule in collaboration with Install Managers and Project Managers.
  • Effectively manage Service Dispatch (demand) and Install Project calendar, maintaining optimal scheduling and reliable service execution.
  • Ownership of P&L Responsibility for the Equipment Service department, driving financial performance through accurate budget preparation, strategic cost tracking, and timely progress reports.
  • Review and inspect projects to verify adherence with building, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining high standards of quality and compliance
  • Strategically plan, organize, and oversee construction and maintenance activities, ensuring structures, facilities, and systems are built and maintained with excellence.
  • Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at customer sites to ensure that proper procedures are being followed, with proactive follow-up to address concerns and resolve issues efficiently
  • Conduct business review meetings with customers to assess performance, strengthen partnerships, and drive long-term success.
  • Partner with sales team to drive growth and expand opportunities within Equipment Service markets
  • Adjust and execute contingency plans to navigate delays, adverse weather, or on-site emergencies, ensuring continuous progress and operational excellence
  • Conduct or coordinate pre-building and feasibility assessments, ensuring thorough evaluations to support informed decision-making and project success.
  • Evaluate data to assess project feasibility, providing insights to support informed decision-making and successful outcomes.
  • Communicate organizational information to customers or other stakeholders, providing clarity and alignment with project goals and progress.
  • Communicate and implement organizational policies and procedures, holding leaders and teammates accountable.
  • Optimize workforce allocation by reviewing and assessing labor requirements at both the job and department levels to ensure efficiency and project success.
  • Investigate job site and workplace accidents, identifying root causes and implementing correct actions to enhance safety and prevent future incidents.



Education:



  • High School Diploma required, bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent


Experience/Training:



  • 3-5 years leadership experience, mechanical and electrical aptitude, a clear understanding of construction processes and resource management
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to delegate tasks and ensure proper flow of information in the workplace
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills


Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver's license required

Technology/Equipment: Understanding of inventory management software, project management software or construction management software and ERP systems

Travel Requirement: 15-20% regional travel

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

This role requires continuous speaking and listening skills, both in-person and over the phone. It also requires the ability to stand frequently, sit for extended periods, bend and twist intermittently, and lift up to 100 lbs occasionally. The role demands the ability to comprehend, apply reasoning, and make decisions continuously. Additionally, it requires frequent use of math skills, including fractions and decimals, and continuous use of a computer. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

The anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is between $115,615 and $147,267.50 annually. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below:



  1. Experience and qualifications: The depth of relevant experience and specific skills you bring to the position.
  2. Education and certifications: Any additional qualifications that enhance your ability to succeed in the role.
