Environmental Services Technician, and become part of a dedicated team that maintains over 10 million square feet of campus space. In this essential role, you'll help create a positive experience for students, staff, and visitors by ensuring our facilities are clean, hygienic, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize assigned areas using standard procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Operate housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, mops, and scrubbers for tasks including dusting, disinfecting, and restocking supplies.
- Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks such as floor refinishing, carpet extraction, and pressure washing of entrances and windows.
- Remove and manage recycling from centralized indoor recycling sites.
- Assist with seasonal cleaning tasks and snow/ice removal during inclement weather.
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 30 lbs and occasionally up to 60 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation).

| Other Responsibilities |
- Perform snow and ice removal within a team environment during inclement weather, in addition to coordinating with coworkers during group response to emergencies
- Perform team cleaning tasks and projects during breaks, and when space is accessible
- May be required to fill in for absenteeism outside of assigned area

Qualifications
| Minimum Experience/Education |
Some knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to follow instructions and to perform medium to heavy physical work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Special certification may be required for some of these positions.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience performing housekeeping duties in a university or commercial environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and the public.
- Familiarity with operating cleaning equipment and performing physical tasks such as grasping, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, squatting, and climbing.
- Demonstrated reliability in responding to emergencies and working in team-based environments.
- Flexibility to support team cleaning projects and fill in for absenteeism when needed.
