Summary of Job Duties:Under the direction of the Clinical Command Center Director and the Chief Clinical Access Officer, the Clinical Access Operations Analyst is responsible for building a business intelligence layer to deliver reporting and analytical tools to support data-driven decisions. This analyst has intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of the capabilities of and data within UAMS data warehouses to effectively drive operational decisions by providing quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting patterns, insights, and trends to decision makers. The Clinical Access Operations Analyst will participate in the design and development of business intelligence reporting tools to help support clinical operations and drive decision-making. This role will develop and maintain process documentation, including steps to re-create, preserve, and refresh data for reports and dashboards. This role also serves as a project lead by managing multiple projects, ensuring timely completion, and setting and overseeing stakeholders' (both internal and external) expectations. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MS +3 / BS +5 years of experience extracting and preparing data for statistical analysis; experience documenting business or operational needs, scrubbing large datasets, and producing insightful reports.

  • Epic Cogito certification (or within the first year of employment)

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience with Excel Pivot Tables.

  • Highly detail-oriented and thorough.

  • Self-motivated problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science, Business, Math, Computer Science, or similar

  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience documenting business or operational needs, scrubbing large datasets, and producing insightful reports.

  • Minimum (1) year of experience with hospital, patient scheduling, patient flow, or healthcare-related data. Experience with a variety of reporting tools/platforms.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Tables, Charts, VBA, Power Query, and Conditional Formatting.

  • Experience loading data and building reports with the Microsoft Power BI platform. Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint.

  • Experience managing databases, columns, and data-auditing processes. Knowledge of Epic EHR Cogito module, including Reporting Workbench, Clarity, SlicerDicer, and Radar Dashboards.

  • Knowledge of Epic EHR Cadence or Grand Central modules. Strong data presentation abilities.

  • Supervises the development of any additional internal database including the composition of, and adherence to, the associated specification documents.

  • Designs and implements formal quality assurance processes to assure data accuracy and develops action plans for any data quality issues.

  • In collaboration with the Director, develops cross-training and cross-coverage to ensure timely data collection in times of absences or increased volumes.

  • Performs other duties as requested.
