The 2025 ATSG Summer Internship Program is a structured 10-week initiative designed to provide college students with hands-on experience across ATSG and its subsidiary companies. About This Internship

The Engineering Intern at ABX Air Inc. will gain hands-on experience supporting engineering operations, data analysis, and technical documentation in an aviation environment. ABX Air, a subsidiary of Air Transport Services Group (ATSG), specializes in air cargo transportation and aircraft operations, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of a global fleet. This internship is ideal for students pursuing Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Electrical Engineering degrees, providing opportunities to develop technical skills, analyze engineering data, and contribute to maintenance and modification projects.

Key Responsibilities



  • Assist engineers in collecting and analyzing data related to aircraft maintenance and operations
  • Support the development, review, and correction of technical work instructions
  • Participate in engineering evaluations of aircraft systems and structures
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure technical accuracy in engineering documentation


Required Skills & Qualifications



  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Electrical Engineering (or a comparable field)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze technical data and contribute to engineering solutions
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team


Preferred Skills & Experience



  • Experience or coursework related to aircraft maintenance, repairs, or modifications
  • Familiarity with technical documentation and work instruction development
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting
