We have an opening for a Senior Manager, Talent Management Business Partner.

The Senior Manager, Talent Management Business Partner (TMBP) position serves as a strategic HR partner to designated business departments and legal practice groups, ensuring alignment between business objectives and Talent Management ("TM") initiatives. This role collaborates across TM functions to deliver solutions that enhance employee engagement, performance, and retention while fostering a strong organizational culture.

In this capacity, the Senior Manager, TMBP will:

Strategic Talent Management & Workforce Planning

  • Lead annual talent assessments to identify high-potential employees, development areas, and career progression opportunities;
  • Provide guidance and input on workforce planning, business restructures, and succession planning;
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Performance, and Compensation teams to advise on hiring, promotions, and internal mobility.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough and objective investigations;
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, working closely with legal counsel when required;
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, disciplinary actions, terminations, and performance feedback;
  • Draft discipline, termination, and feedback documentation; and
  • Participate in evaluating and monitoring training programs to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and alignment with business goals.

Leadership Support & Performance Management

  • Act as a strategic partner to department leadership, conducting regular meetings to understand business needs and provide HR expertise;
  • Offer day-to-day performance management guidance, including coaching, counseling, and career development strategies;
  • Assist with the performance review cycle; and
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve workplace relationships, boost morale, and enhance productivity.

HR Strategy & Data-Driven Insights

  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to develop and implement talent management programs and policies;
  • Support initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall organizational effectiveness; and
  • Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned.

Proficiencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities;
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
  • Ability to interpret and apply employment laws and regulations;
  • Understanding of organizational structures, compensation practices, and workforce planning;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems; and
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field;
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or its equivalent preferred;
  • Minimum 8 years of experience handling complex employee relations matters;
  • Experience in a law firm or professional services organization required; and
  • Strong understanding of HR disciplines, including performance management, employment laws, and compensation.

The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $154,500 and a maximum of $212,000 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
