Job Summary:

The General Laborer is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, and assisting the Press Assistant with production cleanup, setup, and changeovers as appropriate.

The General Laborer reports directly to the Production Supervisor.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Removal and proper disposal of trash and miscellaneous materials from the production floor.

  • Deliver waste cardboard to the recycle dumpster.

  • Clean printing plates and ink pans after use.

  • Return plates and dies to their proper locations.

  • Put away inks upon arrival and return inks to the shelf after use.

  • File finished job paperwork to their respective folders.

  • Periodic cleaning of all drains solid waste collectors.

  • Stacking core boxes upon arrival; replenish staging area daily.

  • Notify the Production Supervisor of any problems or questions with equipment.

  • Keep production area clean, neat, and organized.

  • Work with Production team with respect.

  • Communicate any problems or potential problems with other employees to the Production Supervisor.

  • Effectively and efficiently manage time.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.

    • Training on each of the following procedures: Pr-4.2-02, Pr-7.5-02, Pr-7.6-01, Pr-8.3-01, Pr-8.5-01.

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent desired.
